Tax agent services are provided by Shane Burns, a registered tax agent. The registration is held by him personally. ReturnTax is a business name registered with ASIC to The Burns Family Investment Trust, ABN 13 917 451 514.
The services are the preparation and lodgement of tax returns, activity statements and related work. Each engagement is confirmed in writing with a fixed fee before work begins.
Published prices include GST and apply to work within the stated tier, assuming reconciled accounts. Work outside a tier is quoted in writing before it is performed. Fees are payable before lodgement unless otherwise agreed.
We perform the services with due care and professional competence, maintain registration with the Tax Practitioners Board, and comply with the Code of Professional Conduct under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009.
The Tax Practitioners Board maintains a public register of registered tax agents and BAS agents. You can search it by practitioner name, registration number or registered business name at tpb.gov.au/public-register.
If something goes wrong, raise it with us first at [email protected] and we will respond within five business days. You can also complain to the Tax Practitioners Board directly. TPB complaints are made in writing through the online form at tpb.gov.au/complaints, where the complaints process is set out in full.
Stated turnaround times are guidance, not guarantees. Preparation typically takes 5 business days from complete onboarding, but varies with complexity, workload and how quickly queries are resolved.
