Company Tax Return
Fixed-fee company (Pty Ltd) tax returns, prepared and lodged with the ATO. No hourly billing. No surprises.
- Financial statements included
- Typically lodged in 5 business days
- 100% online, Australia-wide
- Any accounting software, or a spreadsheet
Your accounting software does the work. Your fee should reflect that.
Modern accounting software removes much of the manual work. Traditional accountants still charge as if they're sifting through a shoebox of receipts.
Hourly billing. Unclear pricing. Two to six week turnaround. Office visits. You're paying for their overhead, not your complexity.
Fixed fee. Transparent pricing. Typically five business days. 100% online. You pay for the work, not the office.

“Shane was great to deal with - fast, professional and made the whole process really straightforward. The fixed fee was also significantly cheaper than quotes I'd received from other accountants for my company tax return.”

Common questions about company tax returns
How much does a company tax return cost?
$440 inc GST for a simple active company, $330 for dormant or low-activity companies, and $660 with BAS and up to two employees. Complex returns get a custom fixed-fee quote in writing before any work begins. For market-wide price ranges, see our guide to what business tax returns cost in Australia.
How long does it take?
We aim to prepare most returns within five business days of onboarding, provided your accounts are reconciled and we have what we need. Turnaround varies with complexity.
What accounting software do you work with?
All the majors: Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Wave, Reckon, Sage, Zoho Books and others. Where the software supports advisor access we connect directly. No software? For simpler companies a tidy spreadsheet, or your bank transactions and a list of expenses, is a fine starting point.
Do I need to visit an office?
No. Everything is handled online, wherever you are in Australia. No appointments, no posting documents.
What if my situation is more complex?
Payroll, multiple entities, trusts or overdue returns are handled under our Complex tier with a custom fixed-fee quote up front.
Who prepares my return?
A registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. Not a junior, not an algorithm.
Can you help with overdue returns?
Yes. We regularly bring companies up to date across multiple overdue years. See our overdue tax returns service or get in touch and we'll scope it.
What's the difference between a company and a sole trader?
A company (Pty Ltd) is a separate legal entity that lodges its own return. Sole traders report business income on their personal return. Not sure which you are? Check your structure here or see our sole trader service.
Ready to get your company tax return sorted?
Most clients are onboarded and lodged within two weeks.
